The Company was established in 1968 in the city of Kavala, northern Greece. MARMARA KAVALAS S.A. operates its own quarries, processes and markets marble products in the Greek and foreign markets. Its industrial plant where marble is cut and processed into final product is located on the 8th kilometer of the Kavala-Xanthi motorway and covers and area of 9.000 square meters on company-owned land of 40.000 square meters.
The company is one of Greece's largest and well-known marble producers with modern facilities and significant exporting activities.

MARMARA KAVALAS produces crude marble slabs, finished marble tiles and other customized marble-based finished products. Primary input comes mainly from company-owned quarries in northern Greece, in Kavala and Drama, and from other suppliers. The company operates its four quarries at:

- Halkeros in Kavala,
- Pyrgos in Drama
- Vathylakkos in Drama
- Maronia in Rodopi.

Two more marble quarries at “Elaiochori" in Kavala area, and “Tris Gremi”, in the island of Thassos expected to commence operations soon.
